He’s got the eye of the tiger…no, literally! A ferocious bear stumbled into a tiger’s domain in the Tadoba National Park in central India. Only around 60 tigers inhabit this 30,000-acre sanctuary, but they dominate the most important parts of the reserve, overseeing the water holes where all other creatures must travel in order to drink…
The safari guide, Akshay Kumar, was doing his daily routine, leading a group of tourists around the enclosure, when they stumbled into the territory of a 7-year-old alpha male tiger named Matkasur.
The tourists looked on in wonder at Matkasur’s quarters when suddenly, a sloth bear and her cub trotted into Matkasur’s field of view. The bear and her cub sought to drink from the waterhole, but Matkasur was reluctant to share. Instead, he tried to chase the sloth bear and her cub away in an attempt to mark his territory and display dominance.
Matkasur then continued to chase the cub through some greenery, slowly stalking his would-be easy meal. That’s when the mother sloth bear decided it was time to step in. She came dashing out of the jungle, slamming straight into the tyrannical tiger.
Both locked into each other, the tiger and the bear was frozen in what seemed to resemble a scene from “A Fistful of Dollars”.
The tiger pinned the mother bear down and gassed her out, however, it was Matkasur who was sent fleeing in fear as the mother bear surprised him with fierce retaliation.
Thinking back into the martial arts world…do you think the kung fu animal forms resemble their fighting style?
How different are each style from one another?
